Hose testing benches – general information

Testing of hydraulic hose assemblies with static pressure is a final hose assembly inspection for leak tightness and strength. For standard testing of hydraulic hoses 2 x working pressure is applied. Testing is conducted with static pressure and lasts for a dozens of seconds. Testing can be conducted on a part or 100% of certain production series.

Testing benches are equipped with lockable testing tank in which one or a couple of hose assemblies can be tested simultaneously. Testing fluid is water, oil or oil emulsion.

Hose assembly testing with pulsating pressure according to hydraulic hose standards is conducted to determine the hose life in thousands of cycles. Such testing requires very complicated and expensive testing equipment.
