Pneumatic hoses – general information

Many different types of flexible hoses suitable for compressed air are described in the section Industrial hoses (first of all see hoses given in the following groups: hoses for water and air and general purpose hoses). This section presents hoses that are typical for industrial pneumatics and industrial automation.

Our extensive product offer includes a wide range of lightweight and flexible pneumatic hoses with a calibrated outer diameter, both metric and imperial dimensions, to be assembled on push-in or push-on fittings. Designed for pneumatic, hydraulic, oil and lubrication systems and for chemicals. Resistant to hydrolysis, biological corrosion, UV radiation, solvents and detergents. Made of polyethylene (PE), polyurethane (PUR), polyamide (PA), teflon (PTFE), PVDF, in many colour options. Available also as a multihose or a spiral hose in different lengths.

The pneumatic hoses that we offer, are intended for pneumatic control systems, pneumatic tools and industrial robots. An antistatic hose version is available for systems where a danger of static electricity build-up can occur. Chiefly used in the electronics industry, varnish, gas and mining industries.
Selected standards and requirements concerning pneumatic hoses
DIN 73378    The standard applies to polyamide hoses used in motor vehicles. The hoses complying with this standard have undergone several tests and examinations (material density test, melting point, impact tests over a wide temperature range, and thermal stability tests). The dimensions of the hose (wall thickness, inner and outer diameter) are also standardised. The name of the hose contains special markings: P, H, L, HI, Y. According to the standard, the material which the hose is made of, may contain additives to improve some of its technical parameters, including thermal stability (H), light stability (L), crack resistance (HI), plasticity (P), resistance to high pressure (Y).
DIN 74323    Applies to spiral polyamide hoses used in air braking hose assemblies of motor vehicles.    Specifies test procedures and test methods for polyamide hoses used in air braking systems of motor vehicles. The test covers such parameters as density, melting point, water content, chemical resistance (testing for mineral oil, silicone oil, water, etc.), resistance to dynamic stress cracking and thermal stability.
DIN 74324    Applies to single, straight polyamide hoses used in air braking hose assemblies of motor vehicles.
ISO 7628    The standard applies to single-layer and multi-layer straight thermoplastic hoses used in air braking systems of motor vehicles.    Specifies test procedures and test methods for polyamide hoses used in air braking hose assemblies of motor vehicles. These tests cover, e.g. surface quality, deformation under pressure, cold impact, ageing, moisture absorption, low-temperature flexibility, stress cracking, resistance to ethanol, battery acid, oil, urea solution, and ozone.
ISO 7375    The standard applies to spiral thermoplastic hoses used in air braking systems of motor vehicles and their trailers.
