Couplings for oil and gas industry – the couplings for oil and gas extraction, connecting installations and hoses used in the oil and gas industry, oil and gas exploration and drilling. The couplings are intended for crude oil, sulphated oil, gas, bentonite, drill cuttings, cement, water and air. Most of the couplings must meet the requirements of relevant API standards (American Petroleum Institute). The couplings for oil and gas extraction include:

• HAMMER LUG unions – threaded unions;
• NPT thread API couplings;
• API flange couplings.

The couplings come with threaded connections or they are welded to the pipes (pipeline sections) and other elements of the installation or as hose fittings. The following are also used in the oil and gas industry installations:

• swivel unions;
• special mud tank couplings;
• specialised valves.
